Artist Statement

Marking time is universal. It is what we all do with our lives – some more gracefully than others – but none leaving an unmarked path.

I am a mark maker, and have always seen myself as such. A preoccupation with marking and a profound respect for time initially inspired this work. Wanting to visually document my life, lines replaced words, images reflected movement. This work is defined by its quietude, compulsion, and repetitive variation.
